File and Publish
1. Fill out and complete the official Sacramento County Fictitious Business Name Statement.
2. Mail the completed Fictitious Business Name Statement to THE SACRAMENTO GAZETTE at PO Box 816, Sacramento, CA 95812-0816 along with two checks.
The first check is our rate for publishing your Fictitious Business Name once a week for four consecutive weeks.
The second check is the filing fee that the County charges for filing your Fictitious Business Name.
- Check #1: "THE SACRAMENTO GAZETTE" for $124.95, plus $10 for each business name and/or owner over one.
- Check #2: "SACRAMENTO COUNTY CLERK" for $51.15, plus $8.71 for each business name and/or owner over one.
Please mail both checks together with your completed form to THE SACRAMENTO GAZETTE. Please also include a self-addressed envelope.
3. Once we receive your Fictitious Business Name Statement and two checks, we will hand-deliver your form to the Sacramento County Clerk's office for filing.
We will then publish your Fictitious Business Name four times in THE SACRAMENTO GAZETTE.
4. After the four-time publication is completed, we will personally deliver your Proof-of-Publication to the Sacramento County Clerk-Department of Finance.
For your convenience, we will also mail you a duplicate copy endorsed/stamped by the Sacramento County Clerk.
